Thousands of visitors went to Beijing Zoo on the first day of the May Day holiday. They were there to see six pandas. They came from Sichuan Province. They would stay in Beijing for a year. Zoo keepers said that all six pandas were in the Wolong Nature Reserve when last May’s Sichuan earthquake damaged their home. Some of the pandas have not yet fully recovered ，and they get shocked easily. Zoo keepers hope that visitors shouldn’t make loud noises to help them adapt to (适应) the new environment as quickly as possible.
